Foremost:  I am a parent.  And as a parent, I’m very concerned about the world we’re leaving for our children.  I am running for Congress because I want to apply my extensive policy-making skills to the task of getting our economy out of neutral.  I also want to use my national security experience as an Army Lieutenant Colonel at the Pentagon and in Afghanistan to make sure we stay strong during times of limited resources.  And I want to advance my perspectives as a small businessman to help make the argument in Washington for getting the government off of the backs of America's entrepreneurs.  Finally, I'm a leader.  And that's something we don't have enough of right now in Washington.
